The Socialocca App Store opens to independent makers: useful, free-to-try tech, every listing reviewed by a person

A curated store of helpful apps and websites from Socialocca and other indie makers, now in early access and accepting submissions.

    SCRANTON, Pa., Nov. 4, 2026

Socialocca today invited independent makers to submit their projects to the Socialocca App Store, a curated store of useful, helpful tech that is now in early access.

Big app stores are crowded, and small, genuinely useful projects get lost in them. The Socialocca App Store is built for discovery instead: a hand-picked collection where every app and website has a free version people can try right in their browser.

"Some of the best tools on the internet are made by one or two people," said Ryan K. Hertel, founder of Socialocca. "We want to give those makers a place to be found, next to our own apps, on equal footing."

    For people looking for tools

    • Browse apps by category, or search
    • See a new pick every day
    • Meet the makers behind each project
    • Get a monthly newsletter of new finds

    For makers

Any independent maker can submit a project, whether it's free, free with paid upgrades, or paid. Every submission is reviewed by a person, and nothing is published without that review. Submitting doesn't guarantee a feature.

    How it started

The store began in March 2026 as the Socialocca Apps Directory, a single place for every Socialocca product, and has since opened to other makers.

    Availability

The Socialocca App Store is at apps.socialocca.io, and makers can submit at apps.socialocca.io/submit.
