Glyph brings the classic split-flap board to any screen, no hardware required
Rotating digital split-flap boards for lobbies, events, livestreams, and TV displays, free to start.
SCRANTON, Pa., Nov. 4, 2026
Socialocca today highlighted Glyph, a browser-based digital split-flap board for websites, livestreams, and TV displays.
The clack of a split-flap board, the kind once found in train stations and airports, is instantly recognizable. Real ones cost thousands of dollars and need installation. Glyph brings the same look to any screen with a browser.
"Everyone loves those old departure boards," said Ryan K. Hertel, founder of Socialocca. "Glyph lets a coffee shop, a streamer, or a conference put one up in minutes, on a screen they already own."
What people use it for
- Office and retail lobbies: welcome messages, announcements, and the weather
- Events: schedules and speaker names on any TV
- Livestreams: an animated overlay in OBS
- Agencies: boards for clients, with commercial use on the Agency plan
Features
- A composer that lays out tiles automatically
- Playlists that rotate messages, from seconds to hours
- TV display through a browser window, plus embeds and share links
- Custom tile and frame colors, and support for multiple languages
Availability
Glyph is available now at glyphboards.com and is in beta. The free plan includes 5 boards, with watermarked public embeds. Premium ($20 a month) and Agency ($40 a month) plans add more boards, remove watermarks, and come with a 14-day free trial.
